The Jazz
Jazz is an original expression of the United States of America. Jazz was developed with a mixture of different musical traditions. The basic musical instruments for Jazz are also used in marching bands and dance bands: metal, blades and batteries.
Jazz emerged between 1890 and 1910 in New Orleans. It is relatively difficult to establish a definition for this style of music, but we can say that it is marked by improvisation, swing and nonlinear rhythms. Jazz has its roots in the American black music shortly before 1850. The greater influence of jazz was the Blues also derived from the work songs of blacks.
The first form of swing jazz was created by Falcon during the 1930's, when jazz was very popular. In the 40's, bebop and hard bop were born, but they were rather pleased to popular ears.
Later came a more intellectual and widely accepted jazz: the cool jazz.
In the 60's came the free jazz with elements of arrhythmic and a lot of improvisation and composition, as well, being an experimentalist style stage.
After the emergence of other styles such as rock, funk and pop, jazz began to merge with these styles, giving rise to what we call fusion. Thus, the style began to incorporate electronic elements, samplers and sequencers used in the mixture of techno and drum'n'bass, giving rise to contemporary jazz.
